Sparklers

For Pioneer Day Adam decided that Chloe needed to play with sparklers.  I didn't let him do it for the 4th of July but a mere 3 weeks later he wore me down and I decided to let him give it a try.  I thought we would be making a trip to the emergency room but Chloe was a champion and did great!  This is why we have daddies.  They make sure the kids do fun stuff that make mommies cringe with fear.

Parade

Our little town has an amazing parade in the summer with TONS of candy.  We were at the very beginning of the parade route so we scored lots of candy.  They were seriously throwing it in our laps.

Chloe was having too much fun watching the parade to bother looking at the camera.

Piggy Face

These are the moments that I don't want to forget.  Grant smacking his lips and making this "piggy face" when he is hungry.  Chloe always made a "ducky face."  Dang my kids are cute.

Treehouse Museum

For some reason they had tons of horse statues outside the museum.  It was nice for Chloe to play for a little bit outside because we got there a few minutes before opening time.
There were lots of great interactive exhibits with books and costumes.
We tried to get Chloe excited at the different exhibits like this Mexican themed classroom.
However, all Chloe wanted to do was walk across this bridge over and over.

Family Reunion

\
In June we went to Idaho for my family reunion.  It was great to see everyone.
Every year we go to the zoo and try to get a picture of all the kids on the tiger statue.  This year there were too many kids to fit and the adults had to jump in to keep kids from falling off.

This is what happens when the dads are in charge.  All the ladies went away for a few hours to make crafts and the dads were on kid patrol.  Adam thought it was hilarious that Chloe's diaper was hanging off and took about 25 pictures of her running around like this.

Rice Cereal

At five months we decided to feed our chubby monkey rice cereal.  Unlike his sister, he took to it immediately.  He eats vast quantities of cereal every day.  And yes, he is sitting in a purple Bumbo with a purple bib.  This is what happens when your older sibling is a girl.  Momma is not going to go buy a bunch of new things just because of girly colors.  Sorry kiddo.  At least I don't dress him in his sister's old clothes.

Baby Animals Festival

We took the kids to the Baby Animals Festival in May.  Chloe loved being around all the people.

She wasn't as interested in the animals.  Adam is trying to help her look at them but she just wanted to run around with the children.

They had a bounce house and Chloe loved it!  We couldn't get her out.  This was quite the accomplishment considering how she is usually afraid of things like wagon rides, swings, and slides.

Adam's parents came with us, and watched Grant while we took Chloe to the different booths.  Grant apparently inspired them to take a nap.
