Halloween 2011

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Creer.

Chloe was a cow and Adam was a bull.

I was a cowgirl. Chloe had lots of fun and was ready to party all night.

First Birthday!

She adored her birthday balloons from Grammy Ann.

We are trying to get a picture before she attacked her cupcake!

She made a mess, but didn't really eat much. She isn't great with feeding herself yet.

Apparently the tags were the best part of her presents. Tags and gift bags.

She looks great in her new clothes! It's odd that my little baby is one. I guess she isn't a baby now, she is a toddler.

Crazy Book Lady

As a former elementary school teacher, I have thousands, yes, thousands of books. Since I'm at home with baby girl now, we decided that we shouldn't waste all those books by keeping them in storage. So my awesome husband bought me this huge bookcase from IKEA and put it together. We now have plenty of space for all of my books and the bottom two shelves have Chloe's books and toys. Hopefully she won't be able to reach much higher for a while.

Swimming

Summertime is almost over and we decided to take baby girl swimming. Basically we are huge cheapskates and didn't want to pay to go swimming for 20 minutes. So we waited until our ward pool party and got in for free. Baby girl did enjoy her 20 minutes of swimming. We think that she is super-cute in her outfit (hand-me-downs from one of Adam's co-workers.) Chloe didn't really like running in the sprinklers. She felt okay about sitting in the pool. She adored floating in an inner-tube. But after 20 minutes she was done so we went home and she immediately fell asleep.

Family Time

Adam's brother visited with his family. It was great to spend time with them and their cute kids.

Family Reunion

I was very proud of myself and actually took lots of pictures at our family reunion in Idaho. However, since this is my blog and I am very prejudiced, most of the pictures I have chosen to put on the blog are of my baby girl. Sure, my nieces and sole nephew are dang cute. But my baby is mine, and therefore the best. In this picture, my mom discovered it's easy to get into the tire swing with a baby, and not so easy to get out. I tried it. You need help with this thing.
When the family suggested that Hunter hold Chloe on the tiger, I almost had a heart attack. Don't worry, my brother is holding her as well. You can see his shoe at the bottom peeking out.
Who knew that camel humps can flop over? Also, way before we went to the zoo, my niece mentioned Chloe's birthmark is a big lump like a camel lump. Then a niece from Adam's side of the family said the same thing! I didn't realize it was that big.

Chloe is always sticking one leg out. Here she is with both out. Why? Maybe she is a gymnast or a ballerina at heart.

Sorry sis. But I love this picture.
My niece is the cutest. Is it mean that I think she is adorable when she is crying?
Grandpa is hilarious. Grandma just thinks he is odd.
One leg out. What did I tell you?

She's crawling!

Our baby girl is crawling and has some serious speed. Yesterday I kept following her around trying to keep up with her pathway of destruction. Her favorite thing to do is pull all of the movies off the shelf. I keep telling her no and she just smiles. She also has a new facial expression, as you can see in the last picture. Maybe this is her determined face?

Who is that?

This is actually a picture of Mary Ann (my mother-in-law) in 1943. She was nine months old. Call me crazy, but I think she looks just like Chloe.

Random Visits

So my parents randomly came to visit last week. My mom asked my dad what he wanted to do the next day, and he replied, "See Chloe." Who could blame him, he hadn't seen Little Miss Cuteness in several months and she had completely changed. So my parents drove two and a half hours to see Chloe for a few hours and then drove back home again. It was great to see them, although they really didn't care that I was there. It was all about Chloe.

Burnt Offerings

So I got my hair cut short. I thought I was so cute, and I went out to show it off. My mom, sister, and aunt were in town on Saturday and we went shopping for treasures (aka yard sales, Deseret Industries, and consignment stores). And we totally scored. Everyone found great stuff and great prices. I found lots of clothes for baby Chloe that were hardly worn. However, it appears that a sacrifice had to be made to earn these treasures. I was that sacrifice. I was the burnt offering. My cute haircut exposed my pale, albino-like neck and I was burnt to a crisp. No one else was even slightly singed. Just me. The best part was when a lady at church had to touch my smoldering skin and laugh at how burned it was and how my hairstyle accented it even more. Thank you. That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
